I obtained my MSW from the University of Vermont in 2015. Since graduation, I have gained valuable experience in a range of settings, including early childhood and family-based work, as well as medical social work and case management. My professional journey has equipped me with the skills to work effectively with individuals across different age groups and life circumstances.

I have discovered that my most rewarding and fulfilling work stems from establishing enduring relationships with my clients. Through these long-term connections, I have the opportunity to assist individuals in accomplishing their self-determined mental health objectives. Collaborating closely with clients, I aid them in establishing clear goals and empower them to attain these milestones in a nurturing and secure environment. It is crucial for me to create a supportive space that allows clients to progress at a pace that is comfortable and suitable for them.

I specialize in women’s mental health, focusing on perinatal and parental mental well-being. My expertise also extends to trauma work, assisting individuals in overcoming past experiences. Additionally, I provide support for those dealing with depression and anxiety. I am a dedicated trauma therapist with specialized training in EMDR therapy, a valuable tool in processing traumatic events. I am also a Perinatal Mental Health and mood disorder counselor, currently pursuing certification in perinatal mental health to further enhance my skills in supporting individuals during the perinatal period.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, two young sons, and dog outside most often on the banks of the Huntington River. I love reading, crafting, and enjoy nothing more than baking with my kids.

I started working as a volunteer birth doula at the University of Vermont Medical Center in 2018. My passion for working with birthing people and their families inspired me to become a lactation counselor and postpartum doula, where I gained valuable experience supporting clients with birth-story processing and exploring their new roles as caregivers. In 2020 I obtained my perinatal mental health certification from Postpartum Support International, which ignited my desire to work therapeutically with birthing people. In 2024 I earned my master’s in social work from the University of Vermont, with a focus on perinatal mental health. My perspective is informed by feminist theory, anti-oppressive practice, and social and reproductive justice. As a social worker, I see the whole person, not just symptoms to be treated. I center people’s strengths and autonomy. I understand that families are diverse and that caregiving is not gendered. In my therapeutic work, I invite humor and reflection.

I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, and identity exploration around major life transitions. I see myself as a guide in helping clients identify patterns in their lives, recognize areas of growth, and work toward growth. Through our authentic therapeutic relationship, I invite increased emotional awareness and closer connection, and compassion for, self and others.

When I’m not working, I try to slow down and spend time in the woods, mountains, and at the ocean, and am currently learning how to surf. I love to hang out with my two teenagers (when they let me) and have coffee-fueled conversations with my partner. Importantly, I’ve never met a thrift store I didn’t like.
